My rule in this to live like your mother. Take interest in how she plans and does things around the house. Then apply the same routine at your house.you can also invite her to your house and see what she thinks about your routine. Mothers can be clean-freaks at times but in this case, it will help you. I always thought that my mother was hard on me for nothing when it came to house chaos, not until I moved out and learned it was for my own good.

Moving out can be expensive or even cheap depending on your plan.
