Inside the GTC Tower in Nairobi

The Kenyan capital’s skyline received a glamorous addition with the opening of the Global Trade Centre in Westlands on December 23, 2021. The GTC Nairobi development, featuring the impressive 184-meter GTC Tower, was inaugurated in the presence of retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Valued at Sh52 billion, this mixed-use property was constructed by the Chinese company Avic, which now uses the building as its Africa hub. Avic International Real Estate Kenya spearheaded the project, creating a unique and unprecedented development in East Africa at the intersection of Waiyaki Way and Chiromo Lane in Westlands, adjoining Villa Rosa Kempinski and Mirage Towers.

As the city complex with the largest scale, highest grade and most diversified trade sectors in Nairobi, GTC has set a series of Kenyan and East African records.

Its 603-ft (184-m) Office Tower, the tallest in East Africa, equipped with 11 high-speed lifts, expands the boundary of vision for the Fortune Global 500 companies.

Its six security systems, 360-degree natural lighting, 1,037 parking spaces, 153 exclusive parking spaces for VICs, Sky private club, and abundant retail amenities, all contribute to an ultimate business operation experience in East Africa. An era of wealth of international caliber has arrived.

A Center can be a strategic career launchpad and, at the same time, a retreat to rest your body and mind. GTC, situated at the emerging center of Nairobi, boasts a breathtaking panoramic view over the entire city, and a 360-degree visual feast. At the 30F of the JW Marriot Hotel, a lofty Sky restaurant offers international gourmet and grand views at an unparalleled height.

The 36F of Office Tower features an extra spacious terrace that is perfect to be transformed into a private club, offering amenity services like fitness, leisure, entertainment, etc.

The void deck of the Opulent Apartment features an about 103,333 sq. ft (9,600 sq. m) rooftop garden with planned facilities including Jogging Loop, Cascading Infinite Pool for adults and Children’s Pool, Children’s Art Playground as well as Family Aqua Bar.

The GTC attracting the World’s Best Resources

GTC is located in Westlands, Nairobi’s emerging central business district, and home to the Australian High Commission and Consulate, Embassy of the Republic of Korea, Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi, Nairobi Stock Exchange and Standard Chartered Bank Head Office, etc.

What’s more, in close proximity to the project are well-developed living amenities including Capital Club East Africa, Sarit Center, Westgate Mall, Aga Khan University Hospital, University of Nairobi, Nairobi International School, International Christian Kindergarten, Kabete International School and more.

Meanwhile, GTC is adjacent to Waiyaki Way and Forest Road, two of Nairobi’s arterial roads that bring convenient access to key city areas such as the CBD, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, etc.

Last but not least, the Chiromo Lane within the project is planned to be upgraded into an 18-metre 4-lane dual carriageway, bringing global success within the reach from the GTC.
